This web page is the result of many years of research - mainly into my husband's "Jersey-Dutch" ancestors, who migrated from New Amsterdam to Bergen County, NJ, and the surrounding counties in New Jersey and New York. As a result of the research, I published a six-generation book, The Hopper Family Genealogy: Descendants of Andries Willemszen Hoppe(n) of New Amsterdam 1651 - 1658, in 2005. It had over 351 pages with 51 illustrations and maps. I am pleased to announce that in 2025, a revised edition of the book, now designated as Volume I, has been published. The new 400-page edition features numerous additions and corrections to the original book, as well as dozens of additional descendants, photographs, and documents. The long-awaited The Hopper Family Genealogy: Descendants of Andries Willemszen Hoppe(n) of New Amsterdam 1651 - 1658 The Seventh and Eighth Generations was also published in 2025. It was published in two parts. Part One contains the 273-page seventh generation, along with the first 125 pages of the eighth generation. Part Two comprises the remaining 270 pages of the eighth generation, as well as an extensive bibliography and index for both parts..

More than four thousand eight hundred descendants are identified in the two volumes.
